Fromelles
For many Australians the battle of Fromelles was their first experience on the Western Front. Your guide will take you to different sites where 100 years ago this diversion battle took place and where so many "Diggers" lost their lives.
With original WW 1 trench maps you will visit sites such as Sugar Loaf, Delangre, Cordonnerie, ... The memorial "Cobbers" is a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Simon Frazer carrying on his shoulder a wounded soldier.
Together with your guide you visit the museum of Fromelles, VC Corner cemetery and memorial, Phaesant Wood cemetery, and show your respect.
